FMPS Announces New Grants, Invites Community to Fundraiser

The Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools (FMPS) is thrilled to announce its new educational grants for the 2018-19 school year. Teachers, staff, and parent groups submitted grant proposals in February, and FMPS recently voted on funding. “FMPS is honored to be able to help the Marblehead Public School community by funding grants that enrich and enhance the education of students at all grade levels,” said FMPS President Tish Burke. “From hands-on learning at the elementary level, to vitally important teacher training, to innovative STEM programs, this group of grants will help make our great schools even better.” This year’s grants ranged from $500 to $14,000, and the average grant funded was approximately $3,500.

Please support FMPS by joining us at our primary fundraiser, The 2018 Friends and Flip Flops Summer Soiree, on Saturday, June 16 from 5:30-8pm at the beautiful waterside home of Libby and Steve Gransbury. Enjoy the gorgeous view and a casual evening of live music and amazing food and drinks by Every Little Breeze Catering, Bent Water Brewing, and Rumson’s Rum. Tickets are $75 per person (and all are welcome!). For more details on the Soiree and to purchase tickets, click here.
