3D Printing – Imagine the Possibilities

This is what we LOVE to see and why we do what we do!

Marblehead Charter School students will have access to a MakerBot 3D printer, made possible by a grant from FMPS. The printer will enable the students to become designers, producers, inventors and artists: They will use this state-of-the-art printer to learn how to solve problems, design and print their creations, and test and refine their ideas.

Imagine the possibilities! That is what Leon McCarthy, Marblehead Charter School student did. See the incredible technology in action, as featured on CBS News.

“Bill Sullivan getting a 3D printer from a grant from the Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools was kismet,” says Paul McCarthy, Leon’s dad. “It accelerated the prototyping process, and it will facilitate helping other kids too.”
